Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Child Support

How to I go about getting child support for my 7 year old child? He has paid maybe 10 months out of almost 8 years. Her father has another child who he has to pay support to, but never seems to get locked up for my child.I've given his information to the court, such as addresses to home and work, phone numbers and car make/model.He had been working, under the table at times and now he's trying to collect disabliity.I have a paper stamped from the court stating that he has to pay from the day she was born. He also signed the birth certificate. I'm on assistance, but Social Services always gives me the run around. What can I do to collect this money?

Re: Child Support

You need to hire an attorney to go after the father by entering a judgment against the father for seven years of child support; seizing the father's assets; having the father arrested for contempt of court.
