Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Child Support for 11 year old filed in texas for nj

my boyfriend of five years had relations with a woman 11 years ago & she claims the child is his...no paternity was established. She has just filed for child support, with a court ordered paternity test. He agrees that the child is most likely his. She never filed for support up until this point (filed in texas, but he is in jersey)...the daughter also has major medical problems. Will he be ordered to pay back support at all for this child? What about medical reimbursement? She does not work (she has mental problems), but my b/f does. he makes fairly good money & I am worried she will try to screw him over.

Child support will start from the date paternity is determined. He should then place the child on his medical insurance policy a his child if that is the case. The obligation to pay for medical bills starts with the determination of paternity. He should take the test and confirm that he is, indeed, the father of the child.
