Do I have to pay child support when son goes to College?

The law of the state which controls child support determines your obligation. Massachusetts law permits (and encourages) a court to order payment for "support, maintenance, and education" of children who are in college, at least up to 23 if the child was born to a married couple.

Yes, it should be considerably less child support because the child is being support by your providing room and board nine months of the year.
