Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

CIS and Tax Returns

My husband needs to fill out a CIS and show his last tax returns in court. We filed jointly and I don't want my information available to anyone. Can my info. be ''blacked out''?? My income does not effect the child support he pays, correct?

Re: CIS and Tax Returns

Please be advised that I have not been retained to represent you and I am basing this response on the limited amount of information supplied. However, in answer to your question, yes - your income does affect the amount of child support he will have to pay as well as several other factors. The Court will need the full financial records of both you and your ex-husband in order to make the proper determinations. If you wish to discuss this or any other issue related to your divorce, I can be contaced at 908-537-7975.

GOOD LUCK
