Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

College refuses to give proof of full time student Status

I am ordered by Middlesex County to provide health insurance and since my 21 yr. old son is in College and I was never told of his entering College or allowed any contact with my son for 15 yrs. I recieved a letter from Health insurer that they will be terminating his coverage unless I send proof from the college that he is a full time student. The College is refusing me this information which will then make me in non-compliance with the court order. The only way I know he is in college is by his face book page. After finding this info on the page I looked his name up on the College web site and he is listed as a student. I have written down the name of the registar who is refusing me this info as well as the time and date of our communication. What will happen to me once his coverage terminates? I have tried to get the info but it seems the only way to get anything accomplished is to keep paying for lawyers. I'm still saving up for emancipation costs. Any ARAG plan members out there who can help me out?

I assume that your payments are through the probation department. I would suggest that you call the probation department and ask your probation officer to assist with the problem.
