Re: common law marriage

Common law marriage is not recognized in New Jersey. However, if the marriage is recognized in another state, it will be recognized in New Jersey. It still comes down to a matter of proofs. You may want to discuss the matter with an attorney to determine your rights and obligations in your particular situation. If you want me to assist you, feel free to call me at 856-546-8010.
