Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
Completion of court order?
My ex was order in October to complete a drug & alcohol evaluation that I was being ordered to pay for. I provided him with payment within 2 weeks of the court date, he cashed the check two weeks later but nothing has been completed. Next week will be a full 2 months since the order. How long is reasonable for me to wait before requesting an enforcement motion? Our case has issues that are left open pending the outcome of this evaluation.

Your questions are reasonable, and important, and complicated. It is not possible to give you a short and simple answer.
You really need to sit down with an attorney and get some guidance. The decisions you make now will have a profound, serious and long lasting effect upon you (and your children if you have any).

I assume you don't have an attorney? I would at least speak to one. You need to handle this and all other issues sooner rather than later.
