Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Counselor/Patient Confidentiality

My case depends on getting testimony from a marriage counselor that both myself and my husband went to while we were together. My husband has to have SUPERVISED visitation with our daughter. I can not allow him to have her alone and a testimony from our counselor would undoubtedly secure mandatory supervised visitation. How can I get what our counselor knows into the court room? My child depends on it.

Re: Counselor/Patient Confidentiality

I would think that the same conclusion would be arrived at by any mental health professional evaluating

your family for the Court. I would also think that the counselor could be subpoenied for purposes of your divorce.

Call me if you like.

Why doesn't your attorney answer this question? I have to imagine you have one.
