Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
Court judgment
How to collect money from the defendant? I have the court order and judgment from the court. It is money for kids college education that he defendant owes. The judgment was awarded in 2006. In 2008 asked the court to freeze defendant's household assets. It was denied ''not an appropriate remedy and not within the Court's power'' Help.

Re: Court judgment
Collecting a judgment takes work. It is easier if he has a job, bank account or stocks or bonds.
You are likely to be more successful with an attorney representing you.

I suggest you at least sit down with an attorney so that he or she can review the paperwork you have and discuss all options.
