Court Oder

I deviced my husband in 1996, and the Judge granted me one half of his Pension . This was written in the divoice papers.He worked for the government, now I am having a problem collecting, he past March 1,06. They claim I dont't have a court Order. I have also remarried and they said that make me not able to collect. What I ned to know do my devoice papers stating I get half a Court Order?

If your final judgment of divorce gives you half of your former husband's pension then you have a

Court Order giving you half of his pension.

You should have a Judgment of Divorce. However, you need to have a QDRO, Qualified Domestic Relation Order signed by the Judge and then filed with the pension administrator. I would suggest that you immediately seek the services of an attorney to help you file the QDRO.
