Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
court order violation
My court order states that my children are not supposed to be around there aunt alone until they are 18 years of age. It has just been brought to my attention that they have been left alone with her numerous times. What will happen if i take this matter back to court? Will they give me custody?

Re: court order violation
I would first need to know why you don't have custody in the first place. For example, if you are a bad person and she is a bad person, the judge will not choose between the lesser of two evils. Instead, they may be given to DYFS to be placed in a foster home. One act alone is not going to get you custody. Instead, you have to fight this with everything you have and then keep fighting. I suggest you get an attorney if you want to really do this the right way.
