my cousin's son is coming to live with me do I need legal guardianship or can i have temp guardianship.

You should have a proper power of attorney drawn up for this purpose, to start with.

What you will need, guardianship or other legal arrangement, will depend on how long you will have the boy live with you and how permanent this will be.

But start with a properly drawn power of attorney. I have done several of these, and it is not expensive. I can then talk to you about what else you may want to do.
