Re: custody of children

"Full custody" is a term that is not used in court. It is a lay person's term. The court deals with sole or joint legal custody referring to whether both parents are entitled to school records and medical records and

other information. Joint custody confers an equal right to information concerning the child and to participate in making questions regarding the child.

In the context of joint custody one parent usually has the child more of the time. This is called primary residential custody. In less common circustances, usually where the parents live in close proximity to one another the parenting time is shared equally and neither parent has

primary, residential custody.

Mr. Moore already answered your question for you. However, I am concerned that you have to come to this site to get this answer. You should have had an attorney at some point. I suggest you see one if you have some custody issues.
