Custody for an infant

my daughter just had a baby and wants to leave her boyfriend and his place of resident. But he wont let her take the baby. My granddaughter is breastfeed and needs her mother. she got the police involved and they told her the baby had to stay with him. she wanted to move back to her grandparents. The boyfriend doesnt want the baby near my ex in-laws. Because they dont get along. What can my daughter do to get full custody of her baby?

Re: Custody for an infant

She should immediately file for custody and for child support in her home county. She can do this on her own, if she feels that she is able to do it, or with an attorney. I recommend that she retain an attorney to do this. Keep in mind that this advice is based purely on the little bit of information that you have given to me. There may be other factors that would change my opinion. Further, no one can rely on advice from an attorney who has not been retained. If your daughter has not retained an attorney, before she takes any action, she should contact an attorney (either me or someone else) to discuss her matter in more detail. Only then will she be able to rely on the advice. I will be happy to assist her. However, she needs to call me at 856-546-8010. If she mentions Law Guru, there will be no charge for her first consultation. Good luck! Rob Gleaner
