Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

custody and relocation

I lived in NJ up until 3 years ago. I received permission from my child's father to move to NY. He currently lives in NJ. I filed for a relocation motion to another state where I have a job waiting for me, also the cost of living is less expensive and I feel my children would benefit from this move. I am married and have 3 other children. I had my child at 17 and to overcome a lot of hardships (no substance abuse/no child neglect or abuse). Now her father is trying to get custody of my child. I can not afford an attorney, but can not lose my child. What are my chances with the relocation being granted and can I lose my child?? PLEASE HELP!!
