You can ask the Court in writing (this is called a Motion). You need to put in writing the reasons for this, in the correct form. You can support your Motion with whatever documents will assist in persuading the Judge to give you what you want.
It will be up to the Judge to decide.
You really need to sit down with an attorney and get some guidance. The decisions you make now will have a profound, serious and long lasting effect upon you and your children.
