Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
my daughter lives with the baby father he pays the rent but gives no finicial support to chikd can she just leave without recourse

How can you say he gives no financial support when he pays the rent. This means he is putting a roof over the baby's head, and your daughter's for that matter. Since your daughter is not paying the rent, would it be fair for the father to say that your daughter is feeding the child but giving no financial support to put a roof over the child's head? My point is that both of them are supporting the child, the father by providing housing and your daughter, presumably by paying for other things. Now whether she can leave or not is another story. And the father would certainly have recourse. Better for the two of them to amicably decide all custody and parenting time issues before they split so that the Courts are not required to decide.
