Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

My daughter's mother is paying me child support for our daughter that I have custody of. She is unemployed and is having a hard time looking for a job. She came to me and asked me if there was any way that the child support she has to pay be suspended or put on hold. Knowing how hard it is to find a job, I said I would find out. So, in the state of New Jersey, what would the options be to have the child support be put on hold so what she may owe does not increase?
