Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Deposition subpoena

The soon to be ex wife of a man I was seeing is trying to sue me for breaking up the family. The first thing he told me was that he was getting a divorce because he was miserable and all she did was pop pills, pass out and sleep and day and night. I just received a deposition subpoena to appear at her attorneys office. Should I get an attorney, Do I need to show up for this subpoena

Re: Deposition subpoena

It almost always is recommended to get, or at least consult with, an attorney prior to participating, on whatever level, in legal proceedings. Subpoenas must be complied with, or the person failing to comply could face court sanctions.
