Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
I got dirvorced in New Jersey. In the dirvorce agreement I was to get all of my ex husbands carpenters annunity fund. Then when I got it I was suppose to give him 75% and I was to get 25%. This was to prevent him from having to pay a early withdrawal penalty.Is this legal to do? Before we each get our share. I was suppose to put some money aside in a bank account in both of our names to cover the cost if more taxes were going to be due. The annunity fund office does take 20% off the top for taxes. But this bank account was to cover if more taxes were going to be due for me when I filed taxes. I almost feel as if it is illegal to do it this way and i dont want to get in any trouble since this is really to help him out doing it this way then me.

You need to sit down with an attorney and have him or her reviw the divorce agreement. Something sounds wrong but I cannot make a statment without seeing the documentation.
