disowning adult child

adopted son over 20 yrs ago at young age, now adult in late 20s, been nothing but trouble, stealing frommus, others, forging checks, bad checks, shoplifting, etc. left home about yr ago, no idea where is. want no contact with and want make sure cannot inherit any of our asets and want out of our lives completely. also feel dangerous person, lost car, desperate for money.
