Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

divorce and child custody

My wife, son and I moved to New Brunswick, NJ last year for her to attend graduate school. she has had an affair wants to pursue that realtionship. I have no support system here, friends or family, she school system is terrible and my son has non playmates his age. So, I intend to take him back to my home state of Indiana so establish a new life. My wife and her family understand and have consented to my course of action. Do I need to take any legal steps to verify my intention to move and her consent. Certified letter or signed consent form or something? Also, could I face custody trouble in the future since I'm taking my child out of state? Any additional information is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time

You should have your wife sign a letter indicating her consent to your taking your son back to Indiana to live. Having it notarized is not necessary, unless you are concerned she will deny

she signed the letter.
