Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Divorce

My divorce was final on 08.25.2008.According to the divorce contract, My Ex was to supply me within 30 days with the following:

My 50% share of the bonds

MetLife's option plan

MetLife statement dated May 15th2007 attached hereto as Exhibit B which should have been attached to the divorce contract, but wasn't.

I have reminded him via email. He has responded with senseless excuses.

I emailed my lawyer who failed to answer. I believe that I can no longer count on her help, she seems to be too busy.

What are the next steps for me to take? And what might the costs be for those steps?

Re: Divorce

Looks like it is time to get a new lawyer. I don't think it should be that expensive, but as with all family law, it will be what it will be. You just have to make sure you find a lawyer that won't jack up your bill.

My initial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss your case.

Re: Divorce

A motion can be filed with the Court, under your final judgment of divorce, requesting the enforcement of the provisions of the final judgment, including the provisions of the property settlement agreement.

The cost of a motion is usually $1,000.

Call me if you like.
