Re: divorce

It sounds like you have not responded to the divorce complaint, having not hired an attorney. The judge will give your husband what he requests in the notice if you just stand idley by. You need the services of an attorney.

Call me if you like.

Re: divorce

please, for God's sake get a lawyer.

I am going to guess from what you have said that: your husband hired a lawyer and filed a divorce lawsuit, and you did not hire a lawyer and you did not fight back in the divorce action, and you did not file any papers in the Court.

IF THAT IS TRUE, then the following is true:

a notice of equitable distribution means that your husband is asking the Court to give him things that you and he have an ownership interest.

it also means that you did not file an answer to fight the divorce lawsuit that he filed against you.

you desperately need to get a divorce attorney.

if you have any children, then it is critical to their lives that you get a divorce attorney and take action NOW

try legal aid for Warren County, if that is where you live; if you can get a private attorney, then immediately get one.

but GET A LAWYER.
