Re: divorce

Please, go see a lawyer who is near you. This is obviously only one part of some serious problems that you have. I am not near you, and can not assist. Are you heading toward a divorce? Is he demanding half of the money from sale of YOUR house, when you and he are married for only 5 months? Something is really wrong here, and you need some expert advice.

Please find a divorce attorney (this is a divorce type problem, even if you are NOT headed toward a divorce) who is fairly near you, and get some assistance.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems so soon after marrying him!

Re: divorce

I am puzzled by your question because I assume that you owned the real estate prior to the marriage and that, therefore the real estate is not a marital asset and is not subject to distribution in a divorce. Keep your house.

Call me if you like.

As Mr. Moore said, we would need to know when the house was bought.
