Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

if at a divorce, one party is instructed by the court to have a life insurance policy and make his child beneficiary, due to illness that party tells court ,he is unable to purchase such policy, and informs the court no other policy is in effect and the one he had threw his family business was canceled due to lack of payment....however 3 months after his death, his family cashed his policy and split it amongst themselves....do i have any legal ground ? He did pay child support for about a year , then claimed bankruptcy, it has been quite a few years since the divorce, but my daughter has never had any real support from him...thank you
