during a divorce, if a spouse owned real estate with another partner prior to the marriage but bought out the partner during a long term marriage, is the spouse entitled to a percentage of that property?

Your question is not clear, but what I think you mean is this:
John owned a house with his partner Susan. John and Susan broke up. John bought Susan's half ownership in the house.
Then John met Sally and married her. Sally is divorcing John after a long marriage.
Does Susan have a claim to a portion of the value of the house?
Sorry but the answer is not clear. She may. It will depend on a number of facts.
