divorce with stepchildren over the age of 18

Will the fact that my brother and I are over the age of 18 and live at home have some effect on what my stepfather will have to pay my mother towards the mortgage once they are divorced? (There are 2 younger children that are his that will be living in the house as well).

I cannot see how the two issues would be related. However, I do suggest that your parents both get attorneys if they are going through a divorce.
