Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
Divorced. The X-wife keeps taking me back to court to try to get more child support, the child is almost 19 and is going to Community College. The last time she did this was 5 months ago.Nothing came of that court case, I still take care of my son. Now she is doing it again! How can I have this stopped? or at least slowed down. Every 4 or 5 months is rediculous, excessive and exspensive-costing more than $10,000. 5 months ago. What are my rights to protect myself? Can I take her to court so it can be shown if and how she supports him? Or even question if she is fit? Let me be clear, I have no problem about the support, I want to support him and woulod be glad to have him in his room at my home. I just see how it is fair to be dragged back into court spending thousands of dollars on her delusion that I made more money 5 months later. PLEASE Any advise?

Theh answer is to saddle her with your legal fees this time. There is no reasonable basis for expecting your income to increase in five months. Are you a salesman who earns commissions?
You can request that your ex-wife pay your legal fees.
You can also seek sole custody if it can be determined that she is an unfitr parent.
This will stop all of her four to five month filings.
