Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

DYFS grandparent adoption vs joint custody with both grandmothers? I was willing to adopt once both parents rights were terminated. Now the judge is considering joint custody with both grandmothers. What's the pros and cons with joint custody for both grandmothers vs one grandmother adopting child?
