Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
DYFS has petitioned the courts to take custody of my grandchild whose up visiting with his mother with my approval. Do they have a case. They took custody of her other children that were living in the house, from her mother and I allowed the child to spend a week with his mother whom he hasn't seen in 4 years because she was incarcerated. Now they have filed papers to take custody from me and I nor the child live in NJ, we live in NC. Do they have grounds?

They certainly have grounds. You have indicated that DYFS took her other children already. Assuming they had grounds in that case, she now has another child in her care. Why would you or DYFS assume that she could care for that child any better than she cared for her other children?
