Re: endangering a childs morals

For the most part, the Courts are not equipped to deal with moral issues. Morals are up to individuals to deal with; Judges deal with the laws. Specifically, in your case, it is difficult to answer your question because you tell me nothing about your present situation. Are you presently divorced from your daughter's mother? Is a divorce pending? Is this a platonic relationship between your wife and her boss? Is there some separation agreement between you and your wife? Without looking at all of the facts and circumstances, your question cannot be answered. However, without some clear cut agreement or Court Order, there would be no bar against your wife and her boss taking your daughter on vacation. I can see a scenario, however, where a Court may bar this vacation, if the Court were convinced that it would not be in the best interest of the child to allow it. Keep in mind that this advice is based purely on the little bit of information that you have given to me. There may be other factors that would change my opinion. Further, no one can rely on advice from an attorney who has not been retained. Since it appears that you have not retained an attorney, before you take any further action, you should contact an attorney (either me or someone else) to discuss your matter in more detail. Only then will you be able to rely on the advice. I will be happy to assist you. However, you need to call me at 856-546-8010. If you mention LawGuru, there will be no charge for your first consultation. Good luck! Rob Gleaner
