Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Need Excellent Child Custody Lawyer

I don't care about cost; can anyone give me the name of a child custody lawyer who is known to blow the other lawyer away.

All responses you have received are correct. I would only add that the attorney you hire should be close to your location because of the amount of time required in these cases. Also, there are some changes in the law that might help reduce your costs and emotional investment like a parenting coordinator, have you thought of that?

If you would like to present more facts, I could give you a better answer. I wish you the best.

Please call my office if you would like to schedule an appointment either in person or by telephone. My contact information is listed in the links below.

Re: Need Excellent Child Custody Lawyer

I am not aware of any lawyer who routinely blows away other lawyer in matrimonial or child custody matters.

My impression of other lawyers is that there are a certain number of attorneys who do custody matters and that there respective abilities are more or less like the NFL. Some lawyers have a bigger reputation but on any given Sunday or rather Monday through Friday it is a matter of factors beyond the control of the attorney, such as the merits of the case.

In custody matters the issue is how parenting time should be apportioned, both sides being equal in terms of personal history and personal nurturing abiities. The difference occurs where one parent is somehow not completely fit as a parent

and this is about mudslinging, things like abusing drugs or alcohol or engaging in behavior which places a child at risk.

I would say that you should seek to hire a well experienced custody lawyer

who also knows how to try a case. Most family law matters are settled and not tried and most matrimonial attorneys have tried only a handful of cases.

Preparation of your case is primary. It is the preparation BEFORE trial which makes trial lawyers look spontaneously brillant. You must marshall your facts against your adversary and prepare to fend off attacks against you.

Re: Need Excellent Child Custody Lawyer

Child custody and parenting time cases are very fact sensitive and often require expert testimony and evaluations to determine who has custody and the terms of parenting time. In rare circumstances parenting time can be denied to one parent or supervision may be required. More often there might be other types of conditions imposed.

I and others in my office have been involved in such controversies and I have tried a number of these cases. It is a very emotional, time consuming and expensive process. I will only take 1 or 2 of these cases in a year as they are very demanding of me as the lawyer (even with the assistance of our experienced firm attorneys).

At this time I have no active contested custody cases that I am handling personally. If you would care to meet with me or another firm lawyer, please call me.
