Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Ex-husband is laid off

Legally does my ex-husband have to inform me that he's being laid off as of June 1st? He pays me child support and alimony.

I'm not sure that he has to inform you, but if he wants to reduce his child support and alimony, he has to file a motion. He just can't decide to stop paying on his own. If he does, you need to file a motion then. I would call an attorney if you have to go to court for anything.
