Ex-wife question

I will be marrying someone that is divorced with 1 child paying child support. Can his ex-wife ask for more child support once we are married with our incomes combined?

Re: Ex-wife question

The short answer is no, but that depends. It can be used if someone is seeking another deduction for another child, or there is a significant change in income or extraordinary expenes. However, your income is not ordinary included to seek child support.

Re: Ex-wife question

No.

However, if his income changes, her income changes or her expenses for the child change, then she can ask for more support.

If you would like, give me a call; I am in Hackensack (northern New Jersey). I will be happy to discuss
