family court transcipts used for civil trial

i had a tro put against me from my ex. the judge dismissed it. at that family court hearing my ex told the judge that he did infact owe me money. . the judge told me to take it to civil court. i can order a transcript of the family court. but someone told me . i cannot use it in a seperate case in civl court. . something to the affect of . family court transcripts are not useable in other cases my state is n.j. is this so ...........................

From what you write that statement sounds like an admission so it should be admissible (despite what you were told).

If the obligation arises from Family Court or another NJ court you should move to enforce before the Court where the obligation arose.
