I am pregnant with a married man's child. Do I need to get a lawyer to draw up specifics regarding:

1. Child Support Amount

2. Using my last name as the baby's surname What are my rights as the mother?

3. Visitation requirements

4. Listing the child on the Father's life insurance policy to insure support payments will continue in the event he becomes deceased.

5. Can I insist he put the child in his will?

6. Paternal requirements regarding education fund.

You can do much of what you want to do. I believe that the child's last name is determined by you because you are not married to the father. The father is obligated to pay for four years of college education, to the extent that he is financially able. You should call me at 800 273 7933 to discuss the case further.
