Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Father of Baby on drugs, will he have rights to visit

I am going to court in 2 weeks and was wondering if I had to prove that the father of my baby is on drugs and I don't want her to be in his company (have visitation rights). We are not married and live in different states but he sees her once a week or every other week and hardly pays attention to her (she is 10 months old). I want full custody and would like to know what I should or should not say in order to prove my case that my daughter is best with me.

Tell the truth. The judge will decide based on what he/she feels is in the best interest of the child. Bear in mind, the court is partial to keeping both parents in the life of the child and it will take convincing evidence to show that a father's parental rights should be terminated.
