Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Father in need..

I am paying child support through garnished wages.. I want to give up my rights, bot the mother of the child says that it will cost $2,000.00 in order to complete this. Is there something that can be signed, (i.e a paper that states to give up consent with no more child support fees) that she can take to her lawyer without any fees or court appearances since I fully and not under duress give my consent ?

Thank you

Sincerely,

Steve of Gloucester County N.J.

Re: Father in need..

The termination of a parental right is a serious matter even if done voluntarily and will require court action.

The court may not approve the termination even if the mother and you agree.

Good luck to you.
