Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

I have felt my wife was cheating and recorded her without her knowledge on several occasions. I'm considering filing for divorce, she indicated that she was given advise to take the tapes to the police and get a restraining order, but if I signed an affidavit indicating I will not tape her I can stay. Not sure if providing affidavit will create other issues. Thoughts
