Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

I have filed for a no fault divorce. My wife has been served & moved out of state and did not respond in the 36 day period. There are no minor children and no assets to split up. I have been given a court date by mail. Is she also notified of my court date?

If she filed no response to your divorce complaint, then she will not be notified of your court date. Keep in mind that this advice is based purely on the little bit of information that you have given to me. There certainly may be other factors that would change my opinion. Further, no one can rely on advice from an attorney who has not been retained. You will only be able to rely on advice from an attorney who you have actually retained. Good luck! Rob Gleaner
