Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

financial/divorce

I have recently moved out of my home in with my parents. My husband has not been paying the mortgage and it will foreclose within time (we do not have the money to save it). I have taken my name of off any accounts closed credit cards and changed my mailing address. Since I do not have much money I am reluctant to get an attorney just yet until I save. Am i responsible for any bills inside of my ''old'' home? What are my options now? Thank you.

Re: financial/divorce

Thank you for your inquiry.

You must immediately proceed with the sale of the marital home. I would commence with the divorce and, if he does not cooperate, then proceed with a pendente lite motion.

It would be my pleasure to speak to you about your potential divorce. Accordingly, please feel free to contact my office at 732 246 0909 to discuss further.

Very truly yours,

YOU SHOULD SELL YOUR HOUSE TO PROTECT WHATEVER EQUITY THERE IS IN YOUR HOUSE. FORECLOSURE WILL WIPE OUT THE EQUITY AND LEAVE A JUDGEMENT BALANCE.

See an attorney right away about your house. You could see me, but your 08000 zip code sounds a bit far from me. It is not that there is anywhere in New Jersey that I would not handle a case, but most people want a local attorney. My number is 800 273 7933 if you want to give me a call.
