Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

fraud ?

i am divorved. i have paid child support till my son was 20 1/2. (mid 2005). i just found out that my only sons last name was changed to her new married name, which only can occur with my consent with adoption proceedings. according to his high school records which i just came into, his name has been changed as far back as at least 1998 ! this was an illegal move, and i paid unecessary child support, and whats far more damaging is my namesake is lost. he is my only child and this is a grave travesty to me. please advise. i want to sue.

Re: fraud ?

Your kinda jumping the gun here. I suggest you get the proof first, i.e. court records and then think about suing. I understand you are upset but if you sue somebody without the proof, it will not turn out good for you. Find out exactly how this happened and then contact a lawyer or repost on this site.
