Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Can my girlfriend who lives with me and my 4 year old daughter just up and leave and take my daughter with her. There is no history of any type of violence or abuse. She said I am never going to see my daughter. Can she do this. Can I get custody if I leave and take her with me. What should I do?
