Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

I need to know!!

i tried to give custody of my son to his grandparents andthen i changed my mind we never went to court for it and all i want to know is if my son is still in my custody or theirs????

It is a matter of what the court did. So long as no order was entered by the court nothing has happened. Check with the court
