Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Grand childrens rights

My older son suffered with drug addiction for many years in and out of rehabs. he had two children who were adopted by his brother. my older son his now putting his life together and his daughter who is 4yrs. but they say no. as the grand parents we had custody of the 4yr. until she was 2. my son lived with us until saved for his wedding, then until his wife finished college, and they adopted both kids. we also put my son name on the house. after the adoption my son said if we stayed they would pack up the kids and leave. so we left. I left my full time job to care for the kids. I am baby sitting my grandchildren, but only if i agreed to for $500.00 amonth for all three. they have their own. ages 11/2, 2, & 4. My question is do the kids have a right to see their father and what are the grand parents rights?

Re: Grand childrens rights

Your situation is rather complex and is hard to follow. If there is an adoption, he has no rights at all. The GP's have rights, but they are limited and are not always easy to establish. I suggest you see an attorney to discuss this in more detail.

My initial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss your case.
