Grandparents Responsibilities

Can the grandparents, if well and beyond able to, be sued for child maintanence if the father is not paying (he is well of legal age)?

THe grandparents are not financially responsible for children. The biological parent has that responsibility unless that parent asserts in court that his/her parents provide for him, then the courts can impute income to that person based on the financial contributions of his/her parents.
