Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Grandparents rights

As a grandparent in New Jersey, what are my rights. My daughter spends as little time with her son as possible. She is condeseding and naste to us and keeps threatening to get another baby sitter for her son. We have him from 5 AM to when ever she decides to come home, 5 to 7 days a week. We buy most of his clothes, most of the food that he eats and we have a very good relationship with him. Half the time he does not want to go home because he is sick of the stuff that his mother pounds him with when they are together. She is not a good mother.

Re: Grandparents rights

There is a New Jersey statute which entitles grandparents to have visitation with their grandchildren.

Are you thinking of asking for custody? That is another matter, unless she is significantly neglectful

of her children.

Call me if you like.

As Mr. Moore said, we need to know exactly what you wants. Visitation shouldn't be that difficult but custody is very difficult to get.
