Guardianship over a foreign national

As a future international student in New Jersey I am wondering is it possible to have an US citizen as a legal guardian while studying in the US? Thanks.

Frankly, I am not sure that what you want is possible. Guardianships are ususally for children or imcompetents. If you are looking to obtain permanent resident status you will probably need a sponsor, someone who agrees to responsible to support you financial so that you will not become

a burden for the taxpayers.

You could be adopted by someone here which make you have the same status as though you were that persons natural offspring, by birth.
