house ownership

i own a house now. i bought it my self. if i get married does that automatically be come half hers if we get divorced, irreguardless of the reson, with out a specific pre nup? in other words is an asset i had before marrage still mine after marrage?

The answer is...maybe. You would best be protected by a prenuptial agreement but there are strategies for protecting the asset short of having one. An attorney can give you advice on how to do so depending on the facts disclosed.
